Invasive Species & Compliance Manager

The KILB is currently seeking to appoint an Invasive Species & Compliance Manager

About the role
The Invasive Species, and Compliance Manager, is a pivotal role in managing invasive animal and plant programs for the Kangaroo Island Landscape Board (the Board). The Invasive Species and Compliance Manager leads a small Unit that delivers and supports the Board’s objectives around feral animal management; management of declared animals, control programs for priority weeds, compliance and engagement to support landholders to meet their legislative obligations under the Landscape SA Act 2019.

The role provides oversight and direction in administration of the Landscape SA Act 2019 and interrelated Acts and Regulations, as it applies to control and compliance provisions for animals and plants and other related project areas as required.

The role is responsible for the development and management of the Board’s operational policies and procedures, and administration of Board licenses and approvals that support delivery of invasive species programs.

The role will support private landholder engagement and the development of compliance strategies to assist and ensure that landholders are informed and enabled to meet their legislative responsibilities. These responsibilities primarily relate to pest plant and animal management however, may extend to other program areas.

Salary Range:
$97,022 - $102,626 p.a.
