THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $114,788 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.

Holmesglen is seeking Expressions of Interest for the role of Climate Change Subject Specialist as part of the International TVET Institute consultancy program in Vanuatu.

This international program, delivered in partnership with the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT), aims to enhance skills development, expand infrastructure at two campuses, and implement inclusive interventions for women and vulnerable groups.

Key outputs include strengthening VIT's capacity for climate-responsive training, upgrading gender-inclusive infrastructure, and delivering targeted outreach activities. The role requires a minimum 15-month commitment over five years, with multiple in-country visits.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working in the Pacific region, with an understanding of cultural nuances and adaptability to local environments.
  • Highly developed understanding of climate change issues across environmental, political, social, and policy aspects.
  • Proven ability to design and develop culturally appropriate learning materials, tailored to specific needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, delivering outcomes on time, and within budget.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including effective communication, relationship-building, and networking.
  • Minimum Diploma level qualification in climate change education with relevant experience.
  • A valid passport is essential for the position.
