Central Coast Council is the third largest water utility (or water and sewage service) in NSW servicing 139,000 homes and businesses in a growing region. 

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and delivery of Water and Sewer Programs and general water and sewer service maintenance. You will be overseeing and working through the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of the water and sewerage network service, along with leading small teams and contractors. 

This position will have a scheduled rotating work roster incorporating day, afternoon and weekend shifts.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Manage and participate in the efficient coordination of operation, maintenance, repair and construction activities associated with water and sewer mains and fittings
  • Manage works with regards to minimisation of disruption, customer inconvenience, safety and environmental impact
  • Supervise an lead employees and contractors

About You:

  • Ability to operate, maintain, repair and construct water and sewerage infrastructure
  • Experience in leading small teams and displaying leadership skills
  • Ability to co-ordinate and organize work and deliver objectives
  • Experience in satisfactory resolution of customer complaints

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $61.5K to $73.8K per annum dependent on skills and experience + weekly allowance + superannuation.

Successful candidates may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
