RMIT University has announced a partnership with Oxfam Australia to produce a toolkit that will assist communities in the Asia-Pacific region adapt and respond to climate change.

 

The toolkit is part of a series of collaborative projects in the region led by the Climate Change Adaptation Program (CCAP) which forms part of RMIT’s Global Cities Research Institute.

 

"We are actively engaging with academic and non-academic partners in different countries in efforts to improve knowledge about current-day disaster risk reduction and how best to plan for future climate change," CCAP Director Professor Darryn McEvoy said

 

CCAP researchers will work with Oxfam to build a participatory vulnerability and capability assessment toolkit which will serve to integrate community-based disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
