Are you an experienced Engineer and looking for a role that allows you to utilise and develop your stormwater drainage and floodplain management skills?

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive local government organisation committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney, and we are seeking a dynamic and self-driven Engineer with experience in planning and managing drainage networks, floodplain management and stormwater drainage design.

Joining the Technical Services team, the successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers on drainage, floodplain management planning and environmental issues in accordance with statutory requirements.

Applicants must have a tertiary degree in civil engineering (or relevant equivalent) to be considered for this position, as well as:

• Experience in drainage analysis and design utilising various computer software programs including Autocad, Drains and ArcMap or other GIS software.
• Experience in the implementation of the NSW Floodplain Development Manual, including consultant management, preparing studies and administration of grants.
• Writing reports, funding submissions and formal correspondence.
• Experience with word processing, spread sheet and database applications.
• High level written and oral communication skills.
• Class C drivers licence.
