The Operations and Maintenance Department has an opportunity for an experienced and qualified Arborist to join the team responsible for the maintenance and care of Council's valuable tree population. You will have a good knowledge of modern practical arboriculture and be able to satisfy community and other stakeholder's requirements with an understanding of the many and diverse benefits trees provide to the municipality.
Your ability to work as part of a team undertaking tree pruning and removal along with the ability to operate a wide variety of plant and equipment will be key to supporting the progression and enhancement of our Urban Forest.
You will have a Cert III in Arboriculture, a heavy rigid truck licence and a minimum of three years' experience in the industry. You will have the required tickets and competencies to allow you to prune trees around powerlines in a sustainable manner along with an enthusiastic and energetic approach.
