Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.

Are you interested in making a valuable contribution to our operational effectiveness, by leading a team of internal and external resources in the provision of efficient and effective operation and maintenance of water and wastewater services assigned to remote communities in the Northern region. An excellent opportunity now exists for a Senior Technical Coordinator to join our team in Darwin, you will hold an AQF Certificate IV in Water and/or Wastewater operations and Cert IV Engineering or Technical qualification or relevant trade certificate.

You will have extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater reticulation systems, demonstrated experience in effectively leading, managing and developing technical staff. Contribute to the development of operational and capital budgets for remote communities and contribute to the development and review of preventative and planned maintenance and minor capital works programs.

You will help provide 24/7 service coverage and prompt response to system interruptions, which will require regular travel to and undertaking inspections of remote community assets, willingness and ability to travel to remote communities at short notice via road or light aircraft.
