About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer with 4-5 years of experience in renewable energy to join our North Sydney based team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and reviewing designs for solar and battery projects, applying your technical knowledge to perform project cost analysis and analysis of current and emerging technologies.  As part of the Project Delivery function, you will be responsible for establishing design specifications, designing and overseeing the design progress of EPC companies, to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key requirements of the role include:

• Determine project specifications for tenders, proposals, equipment and subcontracts. 
• Complete electrical engineering studies, designs, basis of design’s (BoD’s), cost estimates and system load calculations. 
• Analyse and complete PV performance analysis for the PV and Battery systems using industry software tools.
• Design and implement Quality Assurance testing for the Company’s assets including at procurement stage as well as once installed. 
• Assist in the creation, review and updating of CleanPeak technical standards, procedures and operating guidelines.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction and finance, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Working with integrity and dedication to forge strong relationships with clients, suppliers and local communities.

About you

You will bring the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years’ proven experience in electrical engineering within the renewable energy industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively. 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders including clients, suppliers and operational staff.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to travel domestically, ensuring presence at the construction site when needed.
