The Opportunity

Working with a team based at Central Highlands Water's Ballarat South Wastewater Treatment Plant, you will be responsible for the operation, compliance and efficient performance of numerous wastewater treatment plants and reuse systems.

Wastewater processes managed include Biological Nutrient Removal, Anaerobic Digestion, Facultative and Aerated Lagoons and centrifugal dewatering. Reuse processes managed include agricultural irrigation (pivot and travelling irrigator), public open space irrigation and Biosolids drying and agricultural reuse.

Weekend work and involvement in an oncall roster to respond to issues are included in this role. Further responsibilities include data collection and entry, contractor management and incident response.

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Relevant qualifications and licences.
• Demonstrated experience in wastewater treatment or similar, including a general awareness of the regulations that govern the water industry.
• Ability to perform technical tasks and apply logical problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based work environment.
