Think you know Aurecon? You may be surprised.

Aurecon’s strength has always been our people. It’s our people who build our shared purpose and bring ideas to life. It’s our people who imagine and co-create with our clients a better future for people and the planet. Of course, you’ll probably know lots of our award-winning projects. The new Allianz Stadium in Sydney? That was us. T?maki Regeneration in Auckland? That was us too. And the Tseung Kwan O Interchange in Hong Kong? You guessed it, us. So, when you join us, you’ll not only be joining an international design, engineering and advisory company but also a community working together to tackle some of the world’s most complex challenges.

Want to bring ideas to life?

As a Hydrogeologist / Groundwater Modeller you’re no doubt aware of Aurecon – we’ve been a leading design, engineering and advisory company for decades. But why should you choose to join us?

Every good construction project needs a blueprint and Aurecon’s Blueprint 2025 describes our plan to become the most admired Tier 1 Design, Engineering and Advisory

business in the Asia Pacific. Our blueprint can only be achieved by Bringing Ideas To Life. It’s not just about getting a job done – it’s about using our skills to innovate and imagine a better world. With that mantra, every project Aurecon delivers leaves a legacy. Every project has sustainability embedded in decision making. And every project is at the leading-edge of technical eminence.

But it really comes down to one, crucial question: what kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? The truth is that the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from the local community to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for? Who can give you the opportunity to co-create?

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

Our Ground and Underground Engineering Practice in Australia is seen as a leader in infrastructure design in the market. We are seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our groundwater team. The role will see you working on designs for major infrastructure projects across state and throughout NSW and ACT, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria and Western Australia as necessary. You will engage with our existing client base and work closely alongside our broader transport team and other Aurecon business units.

We know the work we do is vital in enabling our society’s economic development and it’s the technical expertise and depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are some of the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Groundwater capability leadership and delivery, strong engagement with our Clients, such as state road authorities (e.g. Transport for New South Wales), water infrastructure clients (e.g. Sydney Water and WaterNSW), defence and other clients nationally.
  • A strong focus on natural water resources, while also facilitating the groundwater inputs for urban infrastructure (such as transport, water, mining and renewable energy infrastructure projects)
  • Identifying “focus” Groundwater clients in target markets and working collaboratively to pursue strategic client relationships and opportunities.
  • Team building – assembling talented and like-minded individuals to grow the capability.
  • Support the wider water resources team where the application of relevant skill sets overlap.
  • Develop and support our groundwater strategy, incorporating a wider team of technical specialists across Aurecon and growing relationships with our key clients and partners.
  • Support the training and development of junior staff in groundwater engineering.

On a personal level you’ll have access to flexible work hours, remote work, working holidays, part-time and job share options. You’ll also have a learning programme 100% personalised to you and the potential to build your technical mastery in the Aurecon Design Academy which earns you a Graduate Certificate in Design Management from the prestigious RMIT University.
