How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As a Design Manager joining our QLD Water Team, you will play an integral part in a highly skilled team to engineer resilient and sustainable water infrastructure solutions. You will lead projects, ensuring client technical requirements are understood and met. You will coordinate technical resources and align deliverables with client needs and project goals, often exceeding expectations. You will proactively oversee project teams, continuously seeking to improve service delivery to Aurecon’s clients.

In your new role you will:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering (or equivalent). Chartered status with Engineers Australia (or equivalent) and/or RPEQ is required or working toward chartered status or RPEQ.
- Have demonstrated experience in a similar position, ideally working on the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with experience in multi-discipline design management. Knowledge of Australian water industry standards and codes is highly regarded.
- Lead successful teams to deliver challenging water and wastewater concept and detailed design projects for our clients including Seqwater, Unitywater, Urban Utilities, and State and Federal Governments.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse and inclusive team of clients and stakeholders to deliver excellent project outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation and collaboration by providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as well as a commitment to your own ongoing learning and professional development.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Support work programs to ensure that they are delivered to client expectations, timeframes, costs, and specifications.
- Have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset with demonstrated and effective time management skills to achieve competing priorities.
