THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about sustainability and building strong community relationships? Join our dynamic team as an Environment and Stakeholder Advisor! In this pivotal role, where you champion Environmental Initiatives, Engage with stakeholders, conduct impact assessments, develop strategic plans and promote awareness. 

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality professional and technical expertise to support the Environmental function 
  • Manage all environmental and stakeholder-related matters to ensure the achievement of environmental performance objectives and targets.
  • Assist the Environment and Stakeholder Business Partner in implementing, executing, and delivering assigned tasks, activities, and projects

This is a permanent, full-time position at Callide Power Station, reporting to the Environment and Stakeholder Business Partner.

ABOUT YOU

You will possess:

  • Degree in science, environmental science, or environmental engineering, or willingness to study further.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and relationship-building skills across all business levels.
  • Proven commitment to safety.
  • Handling environmental issues in the electricity generation sector or similar industries.
  • Hands-on skills in environmental monitoring, assessment, and reporting.
  • Supervising specialists and contractors.
  • Working with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influence.
  • Professional written and oral communication.
  • Understanding or ability to learn EMS requirements.
  • Conducting internal environmental audits and performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Queensland environmental laws, standards, and practices.
  • Problem-solving, issue management, and data management/reporting.
